A Journey to Muir Woods & Sausalito

John Muir was a very special American and the 7th National Monument of this Country is for that reason and many more also very special.
Your tour begins when your bus picks you up in front of your hotel. There are no other stops to get tickets or be transferred to another vehicle. All vehicles are equipped with wireless credit card processing.
A brief excursion through Pier 39/Fisherman's Wharf and Lombard Street takes you to the first photo–shoot stop at the Golden Gate Bridge. Then we proceed through Tamalpais Valley on to the northern edge of Mt. Tamalpais. We then stop at Muir Woods for an hour and a half. Your guide will walk you along the paved trail to the cafeteria, gift shop and rest facility. You'll have time to explore more of Muir Woods should you wish to continue on the trail loop.
At the end of your hour and a half in Muir Woods, we take a ride into the town of Sausalito and stop there for approximately 45 minutes. There are great photo shoots and wonderful shopping and ice cream parlors. At this point, should you choose to spend more time in Sausalito, your driver can point out your options for returning to San Francisco. There is a ferry or local bus transit.
If you choose to finish your tour on the bus, it will take you back across the Golden Gate Bridge and back to your hotel.
Just a short shout to let you know we got back home safely and happy over our stay in San Francisco. Your Muir Woods tour, my whole family agrees, was the highlight of our week. Wish you well and looking forward to our next trip to San Francisco. — Johnson Family, San Diego
